It all started at 3am…

We were doing 100+ apartment renovations at once and the overwhelming feeling was keeping our head gorilla up at night. We were using four different stone fabricators local to the Charlotte, NC area to cut and polish countertops and none of them could keep up with how much work we had. We were then driving stone back and forth to local jobs in North Carolina and out of state jobs in Connecticut to install. Cue 3am - Howie woke up stressed out and started looking at granite saws online.

We quickly realized that we could buy a saw and set up production ourselves. The plan was to move into a space, hire our own fabricators, installers, and get it all done on schedule.

Once we decided that was the plan, Gorilla Stone was born.
